Cops on the Hill:   Stories from the week of March 25, 2022

Slow & Steady wins the race: A certain, western Republican Senator has been there almost as long as me.  He has had several aides in that time and all refused to meet with me.  I am happy to report his newest one and I had a solid 30-minute chat about the Drug War and Oregon Decrim.

Earlier in our chat, I had mentioned my love for the 10th Amendment and how it was necessary in a Land so large; something I learned by traveling across this country at 6 MPH on a horse.  We had a chat about horses and I sent him and for his several colleagues who know how to saddle a horse, a copy of a short story my horse wrote about crossing really tall bridges (horses dislike bridges, BTW)

Me thinks the conversation will be remembered and I have confidence he ran the decrim idea up the chain.

* Consider being a member of COP at $40 or more per year. All contributions are tax-deductible. 40 dollars buys all the copy paper COP uses in one year. Law Enforcement’s voice in opposition to current policy is vital on the Hill to achieve a repeal of federal drug prohibition. COP provides that voice. www.citizensopposingprohibition.org
